The fourth Sweetwater Camera Club shootout contest held on Sunday, September 18th resulted in the following awards:

2012 Monthly Competition Topics
January, 2012 - February, 2013

January Through a Window A picture taken through a window. This may or may not include the window frame or portions of the window frame.
February Architecture A photograph of a building or elements of a building. Can be taken from the outside or the inside. Can be big or small.
March Natural Light Portrait A portrait of a person or group of people using the sun as the only light source; reflectors are allowed, but no other fill lights.
April In Your Eyes A picture where the subject's eyes are the main element of the image.
May Don't Drink the Water A picture that features water that is frozen, flowing, still, etc.  The water should play a key role in the composition.
June Flower Power A picture of flowers as the main element or the main subject.  Can include abstract or macro photography, if you so desire.
July Children Portrait of a child or children.
August Urban Landscape A photograph that depicts the city as a landscape. Can be a big city, or a small town, but should contain a group of buildings.
September Learning to Fly Pictures of birds, airplanes, Frisbees, etc. These can be in flight or at rest on the ground.
October Religious Symbols Photos of churches, cathedrals, mosques, places of worship, and other religious symbols.
November 'Tis the Season A picture that depicts the holiday season.  This can include Halloween, the autumn  season, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, etc.
December Hit Me with Your Best Shot This can be a picture of anything, or everything . . . Nothing or something . . . Big or small . . . Near or far. Except for Field Trip photos, this must be one picture - you're best of the year and it cannot have placed in the year's contests.
January 2013
Well Aged Photos showing aged objects, people, or other subjects.  Making the prints themselves look aged is a plus, but not required.
February 2013 Diagonal Composition Photo with a diagonal composition, or strong diagonals as the subject of the photo.
